Title: The father’s house

Bible: Luke 15:11-24

Key verse 17-18

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!

18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

Praise the Lord, lovely people of God.

We are at the end of April, and I pray the month of May brings many blessings into your life and you may spend more time in the presence of the Lord.

In this world, there are various books that talk about righteousness.

But the Bible is totally different from those books, in the world, there are many books because those books are the revelation of man to reach God.

But the Bible is God's own revelation for man to reach himself.

No matter how many books are written in the world today, those books cannot tell you the words of God's heart.

Therefore, God gave us his word in our hands, If you want to understand my heart, my will, and my plan, then read this book (Bible).

But the sad thing is that people do not read the Bible.

Are you reading your Bible?

I pray, that the Lord will give us the heart to delve into the depths of his words.

Let us pray…

In the bible Luke 15, we see the story of the prodigal son.

There was a very rich father. He had two sons.

In the father’s house, everything for the children, there was food, clothes, servants, rooms, love, hope, joy, discipline, blessing.

But one day, the younger son went to his father, and said, father, I do not want to be in your house anymore.

Because I have seen something more beautiful, new, fun, freedom that is not in this house.

And what this son had seen, he could never find in his father's house. They were all works of darkness, sexual immorality, impurity, selfish ambition, fame, jealousy. His father's house was not for all these things but he needed all these things.

He wanted to enjoy all these new things and he could not do all this by staying in his father's house, so he thought, why not leave his father's house and go to the outside world.

Then I would have fun, I would do whatever I wanted, even my father would not see me, nor would he be able to scold me. So he decided to leave his father's house and go to a fun place.

He said to his father, "Father, give me my share of property, I do not want to live in your house.

The father felt very sad; he divided the property and gave his portion.

He took his share of property, left his father’s house, and went to a distant land.

There, he made a lot of new friends.

He spent his time and money lavishly on his friends, foods, and drinks and had many bad habits, and while he was doing all this, he did not remember his father’s house.

He wasted all the money; his friends saw this, and they all deserted him one by one.

At that time, there was a famine in that land; he could not get any job, and none of his friends gave him food, money, clothes, or a house.

He has come to the point where he has nothing left.

What do you think the reasons he left his father's house were right?

Should he ever have left his father's house?

Are all those things with him today because of which he left his father's house?

Does he have what he had before in his father's house? "No"

He had lost everything.

And by lost here, I mean not just those material things, but the peace, the joy, the discipline, the father’s presence, the father’s teaching, the father’s strength, and the father’s house.

This morning, I want to encourage you about how important it is for us to stay in the Father’s house, and be present in front of him.

When we come to our father’s house, do not just come and seat here.

Come to your father’s house and say, "Father, I am available, I am present, I am here, and you can send me anywhere you want, do not come to your father’s house or church to attend the church or to give your present attendance, but come to church to present yourself and say, "God, I am available. You can use me for anything."

I will clean the church, I will talk with people about you, I will sing for you, I will help your people in your church, I will care for your people, and you can use me as a tool, I am available here.

The Bible speaks about those who come into the father’s house, they are not lazy, or sluggish, but David says those who longing for the house of God, they will go from strength to strength each one they appear before God in Zion. (Psalm 84:7)

Psalm 34: 4 I sought (went to) the lord, and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears.

When we went to the Lord, when we came before the Father’s house, when we appeared before the Lord, what happened.

If we come to the Lord, a lot of the time we think, Should I go to church or not?

Will it be valuable?

Will I get anything?

But when I went to the Lord, what happened?

I went to the Lord, and he heard me (this is amazing).

A lot of the time, our problem is that nobody hears me. I call someone, and they do not answer me.

But I saw the Lord, and he heard me.

If you want your answers to be given to you, you may go to the house of God, and your prayers will be answered, and he will deliver you from all your fears.

In the house of God, all fears run away.

In the world, the rich people have all the possessions. People have big houses, cars, and travel a lot. They have gold and silver, but they are all fearful about tomorrow. They are fearful about their sickness. They are fearful for their money.

But one who is in God, one who remains in God, and one who is present in the house of God, is delivered from any fear.

I think if we have to be delivered from anything, it is fear.

What delivers us from fear is going to God, going to our father’s house.

In the father’s house, you are not just sitting, you are not wasting your time; you are here to go from strength to strength (Psalm 84:7).

5. Those who look to him are radiant, their faces are never covered with shame.

Verse 5 says those who look to him, dear brothers, and brothers do not come to the father’s house to look at someone.

What clothes will brother Jatin wear? How will this brother sing today? Will I see chicken today in church?

Do not come to the father’s house to look at someone's beauty, or see a drum; do not come here to look at your enemy, or somebody who you do not like.

But come to the house of the Lord to look at him, to look at the Lord.

God’s people, you are in the father's house, and come to the father’s house to look at the face of the father.

What happens, when you look at the father?

Those who look to him are radiant.

Sometimes we get discouraged by seeing others.

Today, many people are disappointed, because they depend on somebody, they lean on somebody, and they are looking at somebody else, instead of God.

but i want to encourage you to look at the father.

If you look to God, you will be radiant, and your faces are never covered with shame.

Do you want your face to be radiant?

It does not need all kinds of creams for your face to be radiant, even if you have been using expensive creams.

But the way to make your face radiant/shine is to go to your father’s house and be presentable.

Present yourself and say, "God, is there anything I can do for you.

I am available, you can use me.

In the Bible, there was a man, who went to the top of the mountain Sinai. For 40 days, he did not eat anything, but when he came down from the mountain, people who wanted to throw stones at him, came to him and said, Moses.

We cannot look at your face, because it is so shining.

Come to the father’s house and just look at God, and your face will be shining, and that enemy cannot face you or harm you.

Psalm 65:4 Blessed are those you choose and bring near to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple. (ESV)

Blessed is the man whom God chooses,

We think that when God chooses me, he will give me healing power.

We think that when God chooses me, he will make me a big preacher, and I will go to South Korea to preach.

We think that if God chooses me, he will fill my house with money and give me a bank balance.

But here we find, when God chooses us, he allows us to approach him, and we get the privilege of getting close to him.

When God chooses us, the first thing he does, is allow us to come closer to the house of God.

Because he wants you and me to hear everything, he is saying it so that we can understand his plan.

When we go with the heart to present ourselves before God, God uses us. God says to come close, and he keeps us so close so that we may understand his clear plan without any confusion.

Many people spend years in the building, and they are very confused; they do not know what is going on because they never come into the father's house, but they just come to the building.

When you come to your father’s house, come to the Lord with that desire to give yourself to God,

I have come to the father's house. So that the father can use me.

Bible says God allows us to come close to him, We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple.

The whole world is not satisfied, five cars, 50 rooms, 10 bathrooms, hundreds pairs  of dress in almirah, 50 pairs of shoes, been to Dubai 5 times, lakhs of rupees in the bank not satisfied because satisfaction is not in the world, but satisfaction is in the house of God.

Genesis 17:1

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.

Here Abram is 99 years old, full of experience, a lot of time he has spent with God.

But God came to him, and said, "Abram, I am God almighty.

Maybe Abram must have thought, "Why are you introducing yourself to me once again, You think I do not know you.

But people of God, sometimes God wants to introduce us again, because sometimes we also get doubt in the word of God like Abram did. He listened to his wife, and made a relationship with her servant to get a child.

Many times God comes to experience people, Therefore, in this verse, at the age of 99, God again introduces to Abram,Abram, I am God almighty, because God wanted to touch the part of Abram that needed to be touched again.

He said, "Walk before me and be blameless, Abram, you want to be blameless, you want to be faultless, you want to be prefect, not because of your age, not because of your experience, not because you have been to many places, not because you have spoken to the king.

If you want to be blameless, walk before me.

Walk in my house, walk in front of my face, walk in my presence.

Psalm 16:11 you make known to me the path of life, in your presence there is fullness of Joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Where is joy? in the presence of God or in the father’s house.

What kinds of joy Fullness of joy.

In the presence of God, in the father's house, there is unlimited joy.

Does he give you joy for an hour, two weeks, or two months?

No.

But this joy is forever.

Psalm 95:2 let us come into his presence with thanksgiving, let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise.

Do not come to the house of God only for chicken curry, or table tennis; come to the father’s house with thanksgiving, When you hit the door of church, you should be full of thanksgiving.

Many people say that for them it is very hard to worship the Lord and very hard to praise the Lord, but when our hearts are full of thanksgiving, and when we come into the Father's house, automatically our hands will go into the air, and we will worship the Lord.

2 Samuel 3:1There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. And David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul became weaker and weaker.

Christian life is not a small war; Christian life is a long war.

This war was between Soul’s family and David’s family.

This war was between flesh and spirit, and a war between spirit and flesh is never a small war; it is a big war.

But in this war, David became stronger and stronger, and his soul became weaker and weaker.

Who had power between the soul and David?

Saul was king, and he had power, but David had no power, he could not do anything, no army control, no money; but still, he grew stronger and stronger.

But King Soul, who had money, an army, swords, and weapons, became weaker and weaker.

Do you know what makes us weaker and weaker? not having the presence of God, not being in the father's house.

The soul that had no presence of God became weaker and weaker.

But David had God's presence grow stronger and stronger.

David said, I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness (Psalm 84:10).

David said, I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life (Psalm 27:4).

Somebody had everything, but became weaker and weaker.

David had nothing, but he had the presence of the Lord, and he became stronger and stronger.

I want to take you back into Luke's story.

The young son was very sad about his present conditions, no food, no people, no good cloth, no shelter—but he was staying with pigs. And he soon began to think of his father and his father’s house, and he said to himself, "In my father’s house, even the servants have enough food; in my father’s house, hired servants have good shelter, That is why today I will go to my father’s house, because when I go to my father’s house, he will hear me, and I will deliver myself from all my fears.

Today, when I go to my father’s house, and look at him, my face will be radiant.

Today, when I go to my father’s house, he will satisfy me with his goodness.

Today, when I go to my father’s house, he will give me unlimited joy.

Today, when I go to my father’s house, he will make me blameless.

Today, when I go to my father’s house, he will fill my heart with thanksgiving.

Today, when I go to my father’s house, he will make me stronger and stronger.

Dear brothers and sisters:

That father's house was very important to that young man, and when he came back to his father's house, he got everything that he could not get in that world, nor could he give his money to him.

Have more longing to remain in the house of the Lord because here is the presence of the Lord. You know why I am saying this because I have seen my life change by being in this church.

My father’s house has many things for you.

Let's come to the father’s house.

Hallelujah Amen.

Title - Be obedient and grow in God's grace.

Bible- 1 peter 5:1-11.

Key verse - 1 Pete  5:6.

The Lord needs you.

Title : The Lord needs you.

Bible : Mark 11:1-11

Key verse –  3. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”

Praise the Lord!!

The Lord has once again given me an opportunity to serve him in your midst.

It is great to see  you all in the house of the Lord this morning.

God bless you all because, personally, you always keep the first choice in your many options to come to the house of the Lord.

Last Sunday we heard that if it is our desire to come into the house for God’s will, then the Lord, who is above everything, will give us everything in his name.

Next month I will complete 10 years of my ministry.

I really thank God that there has never been any shortage in my life or the life of my family because my choice has been the Lord, who is the master of this creation, and I believe that there will be no shortage in the coming days also. But it will be by his grace, because in the coming days, the same Jesus Christ will be my first choice.

I hope that all of you will have such a testimony in your lives too.

Keep garnishing your testimony because it will strengthen you in the Lord and shine light into the lives of those who have not met Jesus yet.

Are you enjoying your life in Jesus Christ?

Come closer to Jesus, and you will enjoy more and see great changes in your internal being as well as your external life.

Let's read the bible to Mark 11:1-11.

Let us pray.

I greet you all on today’s Palm Sunday, When Jesus entered Jerusalem on a sitting colt (the child of a donkey), many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

It was the entrance of Jerusalem, and people were praising him, and shouting Hosanna, Hosanna.

Let us read again today Mark 11:1–11.

In these verses, we can see two lives.

First were the ones who were shouting Hosanna!

Do you know why they were shouting?

They believed the king had come to deliver them from the power of the Roman Empire.

They were waiting for an earthly king, who would demolish all the power of the Roman Empire. They were hoping that someone would come and free them.

Before this occasion, Jesus had performed a great miracle by raising Lazarus from the dead, and many people among them heard that he healed the mute, blind, and lame. So they were hoping that Jesus would be a great king of Israel because he did a lot of miracles.

They thought that he will do some miracle and all the Roman empires will collapse, and he will rule all the world and our name will be high.

They were accepting him as an earthly king and praising him.

But soon their illusion was shattered, and they understood that he was not the king as we were thinking.

As a result, the same crowd/people were yelling hosanna, hosanna.

When they arrived in front of the assembly, they yelled, "Crucified him, crucified him!"

They shouted, gave the cross to Jesus, and released Barabbas for them.

They were requesting the release of a murderer and give cross to Jesus.

Dear brothers and sisters.

When our dedication is external, like when Christmas is near and we are so excited, trying to be near Jesus, or when retreat is near and we are doing a lot of work, and caring for everything, Easter is coming and we are excited to do something, asking from him a new life.

It is not wrong, but if it is happening only during festival season, then we have to examine our faith and need to put our faith in Jesus.

When we make Jesus a festival, or part of our culture, then we are so devoted, and so joyful.

But if our dedication to him is external, then soon we will be like those people who crucified him.

The crowds, who were shouting "Hosanna," "Hosanna," later asked to release Barabbas and hand over the cross to Jesus.

How is our life with the Lord?

When there are festival seasons, there is a lot of enthusiasm, but as soon as the season is gone, we do not become cold.

Is our dedication external?

Is it not that we shout only in the season, or only on Sunday that Jesus you are my everything, Jesus you are my lord, Jesus I love you so much, I can do everything for Jesus, and then after some time we ask Barabbas in our lives?

Barabbas means sin, evil, deceit, dirty deeds, anger, and quarrel/fight.

Many times, we allow Barabbas to remain in our lives and leave Jesus behind.

Other lives are in that donkey.

Verse 2 says to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

When Jesus said to his disciple, Go to the village, you will find a colt. Untie it and bring it here.

This colt did not say anything, and he went to the place where Jesus was.

He made Jesus take over his life.

The crowd was shouting Hosanna, Hosanna, but later they crucified him.

But this colt is ready to surrender his life to Jesus.

He made Jesus ride over his life, and took Jesus to Jerusalem.

Dear brothers and sisters:

Today, Jesus needs such a life.

  1. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’"

Today in the world, people express their needs: We need this; our kids need it; I need that; our family needs this; tomorrow I need increment.

But it is very rare to ask God,Lord, what do you need from me? What do you need from my life?

Maybe even the Lord needs something from us, today, stop for a while and ask the Lord, "Lord, what do you need from me?

Put your hand on your heart and say, "Lord, you need this.

Put your hand on your head and say, Lord, you need this.

Put your hand on your things and say, Lord, you need this.

Lord, do you need my family, do you need money, do you need my time, do you need my energy, do you need my time, do you need my talent, do you need my life, do you need my house, or do you need my more obedience?

Today morning, God needs something from us, and that can be anything.

as he requires a colt to travel to Jerusalem.

In the Bible, in John 6, when five thousand people were following Jesus to hear him, they were hungry, and Jesus did not want to let them go with an empty stomach because they would die on the way.

Jesus told his disciple to arrange some food and give them.

So the disciple asked him, "How can we feed this many people?"

Jesus asked them, What do you have?

So they announced In front of the crowd, does anyone have anything to eat?

A small boy, when he heard this voice, came in front of the disciple, My mother gave me five loaves and two small fish.

Jesus took those five loaves and two fish and fed more than 5000 people.

Maybe when this small boy would have seen this crowd, he must have been very happy that so many people were eating food from my food.

People of God, if God needs something from you today, give it to him without doubt or grumbling.

John 6:12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted."

13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.

After everyone had enough to eat, they gathered the pieces and filled twelve baskets with the pieces.

When this small boy would have seen these 12 baskets, he would have been so joyful because this is the bread that I gave to Jesus.

You will also see with a joyful heart, when you give the Lord what he needs from you.

You would see with a joyful heart, that people are getting blessed by your giving, young people are getting blessed by your giving, poor people are getting blessed by your giving, and rich people are getting blessed by your giving.

Today we need to know, Does the Lord need anything from me?

And if the Lord needs anything, raise your hands, raise your heart, raise your time, raise your talent, raise your young life, and raise your money in the work of God.

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said," here am I, send me

In this verse, Isaiah Hearing the voice of the Lord, whom shall I send? God wanted to send his message to his people, because the people of that time were burdened with sin, they were in captivity to sin, and God said, To whom shall I send a message for them.

Today God needs people—one who brings the good news of the Lord to the people.

Today the world is in darkness, young people are in darkness, and today God needs someone who may go to them with his message.

Ask God,God, do you need someone or do you need me to take out your message?

When God said, Whom shall I send, and who will stand for us?

Isaiah said, Here am I, Lord, send me.

Isaiah had a desire to go, he was ready to go.

When the world is in darkness and in wicked form, and I pray that we may also hear God, who shall I send? And you may ready to say here am I send me?

Today God needs us, and we must be ready to say, Here am I; use me.

Use my talent, use my money, use my life, use my young life, use my time, and consume me for your kingdom.

Mark 12:41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others

Jesus is not paying attention to rich people who offer large amounts, gold, or silver. But God brought our attention to a poor widow woman.

Verse 44 says, They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

When she came in front of the offering, maybe she saw many rich people and maybe they were offered a large amount, and she said, I do not have anything, I have only these two small copper coins.

But she gave them to God, because she believed that he needed them.

I will give it; I will offer it. I will not eat food, I have only this much, but I will give it to God, because she understood that God needs it.

Maybe today you will be poor, and you cannot do much, you cannot share the gospel with thousands of people; you cannot feed 100 people, you cannot help 100 people.

But you can help at least one person, you can share the gospel with at least one person, you can share food with at least one or five people, you can share one loaf of bread with someone who is hungry, you can help someone with your 100 rupees, and you can share one cloth with someone.

Today, God needs you.

Many times we do not understand: Does God need me?

May be for your neighbour, for your relative, for your friends, for your office colleagues, God needs you, and God needs me.

Dear brothers and sisters.

Jesus needed a colt to enter Jerusalem, and the colt was ready to surrender himself and gave himself to Jesus. In the same way, on this Palm Sunday, Jesus wants to tell us that he needs us.

Will you say to Jesus that Jesus you needs me, here I am ready?

Today God needs you, he needs your time, he needs your talent, he needs your young life, he needs your job, he needs your money, he needs your strength, he needs your heart, he needs your house, he needs your car, he needs your body, he needs your wealth; and all this is God, spend it for the kingdom of God.

Because God wants to bless you.

Will you give to Jesus?

May the Lord bless you.

Amen.
