Title – The whole truth
Genesis 3:6 -7
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

People of God
I welcome you all in the house of the lord.
It is a great privilege for us that we are the witnesses of our church 39th anniversary.
I am thankful to those who laid the foundation of this church,
I thank the lord who planted the seed of word on the founder of this church.
Today that one seed has many trees and many people are taking true happiness from these trees which is through Jesus Christ.
I pray that this tree becomes a big forest in the coming days so that more and more people can enjoy that true happiness.
It will happen only when we sow more seeds.
As last Sunday we heard about True happiness, brother Ashish explained that true happiness is not what we think of as true happiness, because that happiness is only for a short period of time.
Last month I had birthday, and I was so happy, not because I am 31, but because so many people greeted me, but as soon as that day ended with that day all the joy also ended.
Why?
Because that happiness was only for a while or for certain period of time. But true happiness does not belong for certain period of time.
The love, peace, hope, and freedom that is in Jesus Christ lasts a long time and in him is true happiness.
In our last month’s sermon, we learned that how God created everything.
And human’s heart today, such as killing, hating, slandering, committing adultery, sorcery, quarreling, Etc it was not in beginning of our creation.
When God made everything (light, atmosphere, dry ground, plants, Sun, moon, stars, birds, sea creatures, land animals and human being).
God said in Genesis 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good
when God analysis of his work of creation is that it was very good. God was pleased with his creation.
At the time, it was entirely good. There was no death or decay on earth at all.
It was perfect in every way.
God made Man in his own image, so man is able to communicate directly with him.
God gave man dominion over all the living creatures of the earth, which has been opposite in present time. God gave perfect health in body, soul and spirit of human being, there was no sickness, no death.
God gave man blissful marriage and life. God did not make any mistakes
In chapter 2 of Genesis, he made a garden for them to live in and take care it.
He named it Eden, which means “delight” which is synonymous of word “paradise”.
It was a perfect place, with all sorts of trees bearing food for Adam and Eve to eat. There was a river with perfectly clean and pure water for them to drink. The soil was fertile and would be easy to dig up to prepare for planting more trees and vegetables.
God created everything with perfection. Adam and eve were into true happiness, whatever they had was the best.
But I want to tell you one thing, the enemy did not want and even today he does not want us to have true happiness. he is always ready to steal our true happiness.
So, when Adam and eve were living in delight place called Eden Garden, and they were so happy. All this enemy was watching, he was getting Jealous and he planned how to take away their happiness.
Let’s see Genesis 3:1-5
1.Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
In creation of God, there was not evil thought, no sickness, no death, no divorce of marriage/broken relationship, no burdened life of men, but it is all consequences of sin.
Satan does not want to see God creation in true happiness.
When Eve was alone, Satan came to Eve.
I experienced that negative thinking comes in a person when he/she is alone/apart form God.
Even Satan also works more when we try to hide our self from fellowship.
Because in fellowship Satan always defects, if you are in fellowship, Satan comes to you and says, o hello you are black, look at your face in mirror. But there will be someone who will encourage you, no you are not black, but you are so handsome, because you are created by God.
But if you are alone, he will come and tell you, hello brother you are black, Have you not see how fair skin that brother has?
Maybe you will believe in his lie and start to worry.
I want to tell you one thing Satan does not jealous by your beauty, money, wealth, house, job but he always jealous by your happiness, he gets jealous seeing your relationship with God, he jealous by your growth in God.
When Eve was so happy in Eden Garden,
He came to steal that happiness, he resorted to lies, that if you will eat by tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will not certainly die but you will be like God.
But what did God say to Adam and Eve, if you will eat by this tree, you will certainly die.
John 10:10 says the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy
Thief always want to steal your happiness, to replace your smiles with sadness, your laughter into angry attitudes. He comes to kill your joy.
Because happiness is our strength Nehemiah 8:10b says the joy of the lord is your strength.
Did you ever experience it, how does he steal?
Does he come and say o hello brother Yogit give me your true happiness, or hello sister Uma give me your true happiness?
Will you give him your true happiness? never
And he will not even come to ask you like that, because he knows that you will never give it to him.
But he uses the things to steal your happiness. such as your bike will not start, your salary was stolen by someone, between husband and wife start fussing, he might use disease, loss of people we love, poverty, loss of a job, family misunderstanding, poor marks in exams, he puts doubt, he makes you to feel insecure, he will tell you how much troubles you got so that you might live in anxiety life.
Satan knows you will not surrender your happiness, therefore he used to steal your things, to turn you from happiness to anxieties.
Peter says in his letter 1 peter 5:8 be alert and of sober mind, your enemy of devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour
If you will give him the chance, he will do his best to steal your joy.
Let’s look Genesis 3:6-7

Here Eve gave chance to Satan, and he was succussed on it.
As soon as Adam and eve ate the fruit of good and evil, they fell into sin, their all happiness turn into slave of sin. And the evidence of it we can clearly see, today’s abundance of material possessions and knowledge explosion, still man’s life is more miserable and less peaceful.
Man has a lots of knowledge, degree, good bank balance, high level of status, he is surrounded by people but still his life miserable and with full of conflicts, because of the consequences of sin.
When man fall under sin, he turned away from God and fall under the judgement.
He tried to make his own way to free form it. he tried to search solution, he thought if he will do good deed, he will free form sins, he will get back the happiness but it could not happen.
Paul says to Galatians, a person is not justified by the work of the law, but by faith in Jesus. Because wages of sin is dead, and without sacrifice no one can free from sins.
Like Adam, Israel sinned against God by committing idolatry. As serpent deceived the Adam and Eve with the offer to become gods and function outside of God, the same practised done by after Adam, they did idolatry in front of God.
When Moses was in mount Sinai, Israel grows impatient, they wonder if Moses has forgotten about them, so instead of waiting patiently on the lord, instead of to trust God, they worshiped creation rather than the creator they made golden calf by their gold earrings. (Exodus 32:2-5).
Romans 1:22-25
22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.
Psalm 115:4-8
4. But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands.
5 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell.
7 They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
8 Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
Man try to made our imagination of gods, and thought they will protect them and free them from sins, but they forgot that restoration of salvation could not happen by hand-made things.
Man thought of bringing back his joy with many things, but he did not succeed.
When enemy steal our happiness, we try to hide ourself from God, and put ourselves more into enemy work, we became sad, do not talk with other, keep aside ourself from fellowship and not to try find happiness again in God, but start to find happiness into the world.
I want to tell you one more think, after Adam and Eve, human race also did their best to restore happiness and life, but whatever they were doing that was wrong practice with sinful mind.
Our true happiness should not depend upon material things, or properties or beautiful families we have or high ranks at work or people around us, not even in our heavy pocket, because all things thief can steal.
Happiness that is not dependent on the happenings in our lives, but happiness that lets us experience peace in the midst of storms, such happiness comes from God
Do you remember Job’s story? if he had been dependent on all that god has blessed him, and when enemy steal his all things, would he have survived that test?
No.
What will happen to your happiness, if you lose your job, cannot pay rent of house. Will you happy on that situation also?
Paul says in Philippians church 4:4-5“rejoice in the lord always, I will say it again rejoice, let your gentleness be evident to all, the lord is near.
My dear brothers and sisters
When Satan stolen our hope, love, freedom, relationship, health, and life. But he could not steal the mercy of God.
God sent his one and only son to die for us on the cross, to restore our happiness.
If you choose to make the source of your happiness to be in Jesus, you will never be unhappy.
Yes bad things will happen, but they will not take away your happiness.
Paul wrote four letter from prison, Letter of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon, but in it he said that he still rejoiced in the lord, his physical surrounding might have caused him worry.
They might have caused him a lot of stress and worry about what will happen to him but they did not.
Why?
Because his happiness did not depend on where he was, or who he was with, or what was happening in his life at that moment, but his happiness was in God and that is how he still rejoiced while in prison and he even wrote a letter encouraging others who were going through hard times.
Paul did not let the devil steal his happiness form him
The happiness that Jesus gives is not dependent of circumstances, it is not dependent what our current situations are, even it is not only comes from our account balances or successful life. Jesus’s happiness not only when things are going all right for us, but his happiness when circumstances speak sadness.
He gives joy that the world cannot give, instead to giving the enemy a chance to steal your happiness, you can turn to Jesus and ask him to help you.
Make Jesus is your number one priority of the life, even enemy is saying to you, you are so poor, do not talk with him, but go to Jesus and talk with him, he will reveal how much rich you are.
Bible says where man’s treasure is there also is his heart. If you cherish something so much then definitely it becomes your treasure.
If you treasure Jesus and then make him the source of your happiness, then devil will not have access to it, he will not able to steal your happiness.
Paul is proof that we stop devil to steal our happiness, he proof that you might be sick and in your death bed but still happiness in Christ.
Paul proof that you can be jailed because of false report but still you can find happiness in the lord.
Every day when you wake up, tell to enemy I know your works, I know your schemes on this world, I know you came to steal, but you do not have any excess over my happiness because it is not dependent on my circumstances. But my happiness is anchored in Jesus Christ.
Who gave his life so that I could live.
In this new day I will be glad and rejoice in my lord Jesus.
I will be joyful because I serve a God who is the source of all the happiness.
I will rejoice in my salvation and I will be happy whenever I will go, whatever I will do.
Bible says our words has power, when enemy comes to you, do not shy but boldly tell him, he has no power and zero control over your happiness.
Secure you happiness in life through Jesus Christ.
